Chute Pond Snowmobile Club Trail Conditions

February 11, 2026

All Oconto County Snowmobile Trails will temporarily close Sunday, February 15th, at 6:00am.

February 10, 2026

Chute Pond Snowmobile Club trails are in fair to good condition showing thinning due to the lack of snow.  We urge sleds to ride when temps are below freezing & refrain with the warm up to preserve the base we have.  Predicted snow fall last week of Feb.  Keep snow dancing!  Ride right & ride safe!

February 3, 2026

Chute Pond Snowmobile Club trails have been groomed and are in fair to good condition with an icy base so be cautious on curves. Some areas are showing thinning due to lack of snow. Snow is predicted with temps rising to 30 later this week. Ride right & be safe. Sprocket is out on the trails, slow down and find him!

January 27, 2026

Chute Pond Snowmobile Club trails have resumed grooming operations. Trails are ice covered and flat in most parts. A dusting of light snow last night is noted. Trails are in fair to good early season condition. Use caution on curves. Ride right! Enjoy the scenery & find Sprocket!

January 20, 2026

Chute Pond Snowmobile Club trails are in early season conditions with the NST ice covered and side trails are in fair to good early season conditions.

Pipeline/Jack Pine in poor early season conditions as the base melted off during the warmup.  Grooming operations continue where a base is.  We are seeing truck ruts on some trails be cautious when encountered riding to the right edge of trail helps maintain the base.  Icy base persists be aware of corners and curves.

January 16, 2026

Chute Pond Snowmobile Club trails will OPEN at Noon Friday, January 16. Trails have a fresh 2-3 inches of snow with more in the forecast. Use caution as the base layer is ice from the recent high temperatures and rain, which means corners and curves will be slippery. Grooming operations will begin after the trails are packed down from the sleds to help increase our base. Ride Right and Be Safe!!!
