December 13 & 27, 2008 and January 3, 2009

Saturday, December 13, 2008. Temperature was mid- 30's.

We attended our club meeting, Christmas Party, and Food Drive at Water's Edge today, and were informed by club President and Trail Boss Dan Huth that Chute Pond trails will open Monday, December 15, 2008. We got our sleds out of the garage and burned the fogging oil out with a run around Chute Pond. It was great to find out that all of our off-season repairs were successful. There were some wet and slushy spots out there, so be careful. The weather today was doing a nice job packing down the fluffy 6-8" of new snow, but the rain Saturday night did us no favors. We need more snow- lots of it. Think snow! Ride sober, ride safe. Stay on the trails, or stay home.

No detailed reports are available because Dylan rode with other people on these weekends because I was not available to come up and ride. He put over 700 miles on his sled, and said all trails he rode were in very good shape. Detailed reports will begin weekend of January 10. See you on the trails.
